{San Diego Family Photography~Coronado Beach Christmas with the Crane's}

This is my last shoot of the year and I have to say it is one of my favorites because I believe it perfectly captures the direction Andrea Gallagher Photography is taking for 2012 with custom styled portrait sessions! This beach inspired shoot was styled to perfection based on the vision of my client and friend Jen who wanted to capture her girls on the beach for her 2011 Christmas cards. We assembled and gathered props and items that would reflect the feel we were going for; mason jars filled with sand and shells, beautiful white starfish, sea glass, custom made quilt, pink flowers, and  a vintage surfer themed suitcase.

If you are looking to capture your memories in a unique and beautifully styled way please contact me or visit my website to book your 2012 portrait session @ Andrea Gallagher Photography.com {here}!!

Thank you to the Crane family for letting me capture these amazing moments and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!!

{San Diego Family Photography~ At home with the Phalin's}

Some of you may remember Kim's Maternity session I featured several months ago with Connor {here}
at the beautiful Summer's Past Farms. I am happy to announce the newest member of the Phalin family has finally arrived; Miss Abigail Gray!! Such a beautiful name for such a sweet little lady and I had the pleasure of capturing some special moments between her and her loving family at their home several weeks ago:) We delayed the posting due to the adorable birth announcements being sent out so she is even bigger now but just as cute! Phalin's you are such a wonderful family and I cannot thank you enough for letting me into your lives!<3

Beautiful Mommy and Abigail Gray

She was just beginning to open her eyes more...

Loved this shot! I had been waiting to use this sling made by my friend Paige forever and I could not be happier with the results!

This was Kim's cradle as a baby! Loved incorporating such a special family heirloom:)

She looks so sweet in her pink tutu and pearls with mama:)

Hand made blanket from Kim's friend, just lovely!

Love this<3

{San Diego Family Photography~ Japanese Friendship Garden with the Roxworthy's}

I recently had the pleasure of working with a lovely family, the Roxworthy's (awesome last name, I know:) and I was so thrilled when Emily asked me to do their family portraits for them! When we discussed locations Emily was very drawn to the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. It was my first time ever shooting their so it was a wonderful experience and the garden turned out to be a perfect setting to match this beautiful families style.  A special thank you to the Roxworthy's for allowing me to be a part of their 2011 family photos, it was such a pleasure working with you and your sweet family!

{San Diego Family Photography~Balboa Park with the Ledford's}

This was a really fun shoot at a location which had been in the back of my mind for a long time! A good friend told me about this amazing tree with an exposed root system at Balboa Park but I knew that the family had to have older children in order to navigate it. Mickey was super flexible about where to shoot so I was so thrilled to be able to utilize this beautiful tree in their shoot and it came out beautifully! The kids are similar in age to my too eldest so it was a lot of fun and they were full of energy and having a great time climbing around! Thanks so much to the Ledford family for allowing me to capture their 2011 family photos and much happiness in the future!

{San Diego Family Photography~Cole and Quinn}

I fall in love with every shoot I do. Working with the families to style and pick locations,  scouting out new a fun places to create the perfect backdrop for their special day, and of course the cuteness of children on the day of dressed up in holiday finery, perfectly polished and clean faced. In this case that is how they arrived and for a short time that is how they stayed... But I have to say I love a mama who wants both sides of her children, the pictures you can hang for all the marvel at how perfect your children must be and then the shots I love the most, the real ones. So when the lollipops came out and the faces became smudged with layers of colorful sugar we did what any fun loving family photo shoot would do~ Through them on amusement park rides with lolli's in hand and then have them romp in the ocean to clean up after! These two were tons of fun and mommy and daddy were equally amazing. Thank you so much Kelly family for allowing me to capture just how beautiful you are inside and out!

I adore this shot of these two <3
